Eth-Noh-Tec Internship Projects: 2008
Eth-Noh-Tec is a non-profit, Asian American arts organization dedicated to performing traditional and contemporary stories, blending theater, music, dance and storytelling. Weaving metaphors found in Asian mythology and folk tales with modern interpretation their artistry conveys powerful messages about the environment, presents socio-political satires, and expresses their new kind of cultural and compassionate activism. Eth-Noh-Tec performs throughout the United State and internationally in festivals, universities, educational settings, correctional facilities, and community theaters since 1982.
Internships Now Available
(Ongoing: May-Dec. 2008)
Selected interns in this NON-PAID position (20-40 hours) will assist in development, technology, and marketing projects and gain experience in running a non-profit organization. Interns will utilize skills in marketing, grant writing research, general office assistance and data management, assisting with creating community calendar, and work on various fundraising campaigns.
Nu Wa International
Eth-Noh-Tec develops several international cultural projects as under the title, Nu Wa International, including Nu Wa Film Project, India 2008 Project and China Project 2009. Interns will research travel & film grants, and find English, Chinese and Tamil sources. Interns with graphic and web design skills could help us set up the website for the project.
Technologies Project
Interns will help with our Podcast Project, Video Archiving, Slideshow & PowerPoint Project; updating our current website with new photos, script work, and calendar updates. We also need specific help in setting up video conferencing between various storytelling organizations and communities nationally and internationally.
Community Development
Our Community Liaison Project includes developing a Community Calendar, promoting our Eth-Noh-Tec Salon Series, promoting our Internship project; posting bulletins, hooking up with student groups, organizations and associations; serving as community liaison with major campuses and faculty.
Product Development & Marketing
Interns will assist with product distribution sites, developing new ways for marketing using new technologies including researching local businesses, Asian American markets, small businesses and organizations. Positions are also available in product inventory and organization, and in creating a marketing strategy including an annual marketing/ seasonal calendar.
